Plesk for Windows offers full support for most open-source and Microsoft-developed services including server-side scripting languages such as ASP and PHP, application frameworks such as ASP.NET, Frontpage 2000 & 2002 Server Extensions, and Microsoft Access databases.

When adding new domains to the Plesk for Windows control panel, customers have the option of using Dedicated IIS Application Pools. Because dedicated pools run independently and provide isolation from other application pools, an error in one application pool belonging to one client will not affect other applications running in alternate pools belonging to different clients.

Plesk for Windows offers the choice between AWStats, WebAlyzer, SmartStats, and Urchin web analytics programs. Statistical programs are selected on a per-domain basis, and are set when adding a new domain. This gives domain owners the option of selecting a different web statistics program for each hosted domain.

With support for PHP 5.2.6 and 4.4.7, domain owners can choose to run PHP as a FastCGI application, a CGI application, or an ISAPI extension. Plesk for Windows also natively supports ASP.NET version 1.1.4322.0 and 2.0.50727.0.

Plesk's Application Packaging Standard Catalog (APS) gives Server Administrators built-in access to a variety of popular open-source applications. Adminstrators can then selectively load these applications into a customer-facing Application Vault. This vault allows customers to easily download and install applications such as Joomla!, WordPress, OSCommerce, and more directly to their hosting accounts. As an administrator, you can choose to make these applications freely available, or restrict installations to a per-user basis. By restricting access to the one-click installations, you can resell individual applications or integrate them with different hosting packages.
